The Unseen Field - Post 2 of 5
Mapping your blind spots - what you can't see, what others see, and what no one is looking at

What Others See
The reflection you have been avoiding and why it matters to your field
There is a particular kind of discomfort that arrives when someone sees something in you that you cannot see in yourself.
Most people move away from that discomfort as quickly as possible. They deflect it, explain it away, or file it under they don't really know me and carry on.
What very few people do is pause and ask: what if they are right? What if what they are seeing is real; and the fact that I cannot see it is precisely the problem?
This is the second perceptual position. Not what you know about yourself. Not the territory that no one has yet witnessed. But the middle layer, the reflection that exists in the field between you and the people around you. Visible to them. Invisible to you.
And in thirty years of field work, I have found this layer to be one of the most consistently underestimated sources of energetic drain in a person's life.
The room knows before you do
When I arrive at a property for a space clearing, I am reading before I step inside.
The approach tells me things. The garden, the entrance, the quality of light at the threshold. The way a space presents itself to the outside world carries information about what is happening within it; information that is available to anyone who enters but invisible to the people who live there because familiarity has made it background. We stop seeing what we have always seen.
This is not a failing. It is how human perception works. Familiarity normalises. The nervous system stops flagging what it has learned to expect. And in that normalisation, entire dimensions of information drop out of conscious awareness; still present, still active, still shaping experience, but no longer visible to the people most affected by them.
The families I work with are not unobservant people. They are people who have simply been inside their own field for too long to see its edges.
What I bring; what any skilled outside witness brings; is the capacity to see the field fresh. To notice what has become invisible through proximity. To name what the room, the space, the pattern has been communicating all along to anyone who enters it for the first time.
What the bedroom was saying
A woman came to me after ten years of trying for a second child.
Ten years is a long time to carry that particular hope and disappointment. By the time we spoke she had explored many avenues: medical, emotional, spiritual. She was not someone who had ignored the situation. She had looked at it from every direction she knew to look.
What she had not looked at was her bedroom.
I asked, toward the end of our session, if I could see the space where she slept. She guided me in. And within moments of entering the room it was immediately, unmistakably clear.
Above the bed, large and commanding, hung a piece of artwork. Cartoonish, vivid, full of movement. A blonde woman behind the wheel of a red convertible, scarf trailing in the wind, eyes fixed on the road ahead. Focused. Purposeful. Going somewhere.
In the passenger seat beside her, a man. Turned toward her. Trying to reach her. Unable to connect.
I looked at the painting and then at her and said: doesn't that look like a clear metaphor for your situation? He's not connecting with you.
She had lived with that image above her bed for years. She had chosen it. She loved it. She had looked at it every morning and every night and never once seen what it was broadcasting into the field of the most intimate space in her home.
That is the second perceptual position made visible. The painting was saying something that everyone who entered that bedroom for the first time could potentially have read, but the person it most concerned had long since stopped seeing it.
The field between you and others
The people closest to you are responding to things in your field that you cannot see.
Not always consciously. Not always in ways they could articulate if you asked them. But the field operates whether or not it is being read deliberately; and the people in your life are navigating it constantly, adjusting to it, responding to information that is right there in the open and completely invisible to you.
This is not a comfortable thought. It tends to produce one of two reactions.
The first is defensiveness; a closing against the idea that something is visible in you that you cannot see. A tightening around the privacy of self, the authority of self-knowledge.
The second is relief. A loosening. The recognition that you have been carrying a field problem alone, without the full picture, and that the full picture has been available in the reflections around you all along.
The second response is the one that opens toward healing.
Because the external reflection; uncomfortable as it can be to receive; is not a threat to your self-knowledge. It is an addition to it. It is the part of the map you could not draw from the inside.
The painting moved
I suggested to the woman that the artwork belonged somewhere else entirely.
In her office, behind her desk, anchoring the seat where she worked. For someone on the move, focused, able to hold her direction without distraction; that image was powerful and precisely placed. It simply did not belong above the bed where connection, rest, and the possibility of new life were meant to be held.
In its place, I suggested she find an image of two flowers; one slightly larger than the other; with a bud emerging from below as a third.
She asked her ten year old daughter to paint it.
The daughter painted what her mother described. The image was hung above the bed in the space where the convertible had been.
Within three to four months, she was pregnant.
I am not suggesting the painting caused her fertility challenges. I am saying that the field of a space communicates constantly, to the body, to the nervous system, to the deeper intelligence that organises experience beneath conscious awareness. And when the communication changes, experience can change with it.
The room had been saying one thing for years. When it began saying something different, something different became possible.
The question for this post
Not what do you know about yourself.
But this: what are the people around you responding to that you have not yet seen?
What does your space say to someone who enters it for the first time?
What does your field communicate to the people who know you well; the ones who tiptoe around something, the ones who have tried to show you something you weren't ready to receive?
The reflection is not always comfortable. But it is almost always accurate. And it is always, without exception, information.
Where to go from here
Draw a card. The oracle draw works with the field as it actually is not as you think it is. Sometimes the card that comes forward is the mirror you have been needing. Go to spatialenergetics.com.au/oracle-draw and see what is reflected back.
Or book a session. A space clearing or healing session is, among other things, an act of skilled outside witnessing. I will see what you cannot see from inside your own field - and we will work with it together. Book here.
